Emily Daws is a textile artist based in Charleston, South Carolina. Starting at an early age, Emily has always been drawn to fabrics, designing and creating one-of-a-kind pieces since learning to sew.
After developing a successful ready-to-wear line of high end, contemporary dresses, Emily pursued opportunities in custom bridal, catering to Charleston brides and their wedding parties.
Influenced by the efforts of designing spaces for her first home, Emily’s focus naturally switched from women's wear to interiors, developing a textile collection and starting a small workroom to bring her vision of modern southern living to life.
Emily is endlessly inspired by the organic patterns found in nature, prevalent to the coastal setting of Johns Island where she, her husband and son reside. From the Cobblestone streets downtown to the Spanish moss of the sea islands, each of her patterns represent iconic pieces of the lowcountry. The subtle stories behind each pattern help to make the collection unique, creating an aesthetic that is appreciated from coast to coast.
