Set within the marsh landscape of Kiawah River on Johns Island, the 2024 Southern Living Idea House brings together thoughtful architecture, regional craftsmanship and a distinctly Charleston point of view.
Designed by Allison Elebash Interiors, the home features Emily Daws fabrics across café curtains, custom seating and decorative accents. Each pattern was selected in response to the room, bringing color and original artwork into the home while maintaining a natural connection to its surroundings.

Four Fabrics for Café Curtains
Café curtains provide privacy while preserving natural light. Throughout the Idea House, four original fabrics were used at the windows, each bringing its own pattern, scale and point of view to the room.
